The Labor Types function is used to setup the various labor types such as Labor (general) or Mechanic (specific). Each labor type has a description, cost per hour, and different charges for the repair or service based on the type of order.
The Labor Types function can be accessed from:
Service Center- Other
Labor Type. Select a labor type from the drop-down box or enter a brief name (1-12 characters) for the type of labor. The names might be Labor, Mechanic, etc.
Description. Enter a description of this labor type (1-25 char).
Cost/Hour. Enter the cost per hour of this labor type.
Work Order. Enter the amount you want to charge to the repairs or servicing of equipment for this labor type when they are working on in-house equipment (owned by you).
Field Service Order. Enter the amount you will charge the customer when this labor type works on servicing in-house equipment. A field service order charge is used to charge servicing of in-house equipment that is out on the field (being used by the customer).
Customer Service Order. Enter the amount you will charge the customer when this labor type works on servicing customer’s equipment.
Delete. Select to delete the labor type.
Cancel. Select to exit the labor types form.
Save. Select to save the labor type specifications.
